Collax URL Filter powered by Bitdefender

We are pleased to introduce our latest product, the Collax URL Filter. Unlike other filtering solutions, the Collax URL Filter powered by Bitdefender is not based solely on domain databases. Websites can contain content from different categories. Bitdefender’s technology therefore goes a step further by filtering individual pages instead of blocking an entire website due to, for example, a single inappropriate blog post.

The Bitdefender URL and domain database includes more than 200 million URLs across more than 45 million domains. It also provides additional information indicating whether content is related to phishing, malware, or fraud.

In addition, we will consolidate our antivirus product portfolio. It has become clear that the added value of maintaining two filtering engines is very limited, while it still requires time and resources. In the future, there will only be Collax Virus Protection, occasionally with the “powered by Bitdefender” add-on. Avira licenses will remain valid until their expiration date. After that, they will be automatically replaced by Collax Virus Protection.
